Hello Parents!  Thanks for checking out The Bee.  The Bee is the quickest, easiest, most effective, and cheapest way for your child to get a headstart in English.  Using phonics, our spelling program make it easy to understand how English words are constructed.
If your child likes this program and gets into it, you will notice  immediate and drastic improvement in just a couple months.  Because we're only using the alphabet, even parents with very, very low English skill can assist their child in this improvement.

フォニックスの知識・難易度に基づき、26レベル（A～Z）の単語リストがあります。
レベルAができるようになったらレベルB、レベルCへと、どんどんレベルアップしていきましょう。
無料の単語リストのみを使って勉強しても可ですが、正確な発音、リスニング力、フォニックスの知識を身に付けるためにも、CDとワークシートのセットをご利用されることをお薦めします。

個別テスト

勉強の成果を試すチャンスです。個別テストは、先生と一対一で行われます。
例えば「big」と出題された場合、「big, b-i-g(ビー、アイ、ジー), big」という様に、「単語、スペル、単語」を答えます。発音もきちんとできるように練習しておきましょう。

The test consists of 10 randomly chosen words from the levels you have studied.  If you spell 7 correctly, you can move on to the next level.

Understanding the process may take a test or two.  However, once your child passes a test, the feeling of success inspires them to keep trying.  Please click on the Testing link to get more information on how to take individual tests.

コンテスト

Overall, the contest is a great experience.  Kids get to challenge their new English spelling skills against other children.

While the contest is not mandatory, it serves a major purpose in this program.  Everyone trying a contest for the first time must start at Level A.  So no matter how many levels your child has advanced in the program, they have to review from Level A.  This review builds a very strong phonics foundation.

2018年NPO Spelling Bee Contestは、9/16（日）at 至学館大学に開催されます。
公平を期すため、一般コンテストとバイリンガルコンテスト、二つに分けて行います。
コンテストでは、全参加者が舞台に上がり、一人ずつ順に1単語ずつ出題されます。個別テストと同様、「単語、スペル、単語」を答えましょう。もし間違えてしまったら、次の参加者にも同じ単語が出題されます。正解が出た場合、それまでに間違えた人全員が失格となります。

Success with The Bee

Your child can use The Bee to become an expert in important English abilities.  The Bee will improve your child's alphabet knowledge, phonics ability, pronunciation, and reading skill in a short time span.  To succeed you need to commit to the three A's of the program: Active, Achieve, and Advance

Active

You have to start.  Try Level A!  Set a time period goal to pass the Level A test.  Start learning about the words in Level A.  You may need 2-3 tries for Level A.  Once you understand the process though, you'll pass and following levels will be easier.  You just have to get active and start.
Then, you move through the materials at your pace.  Some levels will have more difficult phonics concepts to understand.  So your child may take more time in those levels.  That's fine.
As an NPO, we make the pricing of this program extremely reasonable.  We hope that will encourage everyone to give it a try.
Overall, you are (A) learning English phonics and spelling skills that aren't taught thoroughly in the Japanese English education (B) at a low price (C) in a system that moves at your pace.  Get started today!

Achieve

The Bee has 26 levels to learn from.  Every level is a new challenge.  Your child constantly learns new English phonics rules that will help them read more proficiently.  Each level is teaching them something new.  Set each level as a goal and try to achieve it.  The levels usually get harder.  So the feeling of achievement grows stronger.
The Bee also offers contests to challenge your kid against other kids.  Even within the contest, there are different levels of achievement with different medals.

Advance

Keep trying and keep achieving.  That's advancement.  The Bee ends with level Z.  Getting to level Z could take 2-3 years.  Don't give up.  Maybe your kid can get medals or even win a contest in the process.
If your child finishes The Bee, their spelling ability will be the same as an early 3rd grade elementary student in America.  That's probably top 2% in Japan though, right?!
But advancing doesn't stop there!  Now, your child has an amazing skill.  Your child can read similarly to a native English speaking child!  Wow!  Reading is where people can pick up lots of vocabulary.  Do you want your child to pass Eiken tests?  Your child will have a much easier time reading new words.
Even after finishing The Bee, your child will be able to advance their individual English skill at a much quicker pace with a deeper understanding.
